Mission Statement
The Fellowship for Pre-Graduate Studies in Mathematics was founded in 2021 to encourage and enable promising mathematics students at the undergraduate level to continue their mathematical studies to contribute to the Vietnamese mathematical tradition, both inside and outside of Vietnam.
Awards
- The top three submitted entries will receive cash prizes of $300, $150 and $50 USD, respectively.
- Submitting an entry also qualifies a student to be considered for invitation to participate in the Future of Vietnamese Mathematics Mentorship Program, a one-year-long program of study and research. Students will be matched with a mentor as part of the invitation. Participation in this program involves:
- Reimbursement of application fees for three graduate programs.
- Regular online meetings with your mentor and career advice.
- A mandatory written thesis, whose completion is supervised by your mentor.
- If possible, face-to-face meetings with the mentors at least once during the mentorship program.
Eligibility and Timeline
Students currently graduating from HCMUS who have submitted an English translation of their senior thesis are eligible for consideration for both the cash prize and invitation to the Mentorship program.
